Data privacy and retention

By default FullsendAI keeps only what billing and your logs need about each API call, never what it said. Prompt and reply logging is yours to turn on, per project, for 30 days.

What's kept for every call#

KeptNot kept
Time, model, key, project, status and error code, token counts, cost, latency, whether it streamed, the requested max_tokens, and the calling app (User-Agent) and IP addressYour prompts and the model's replies (unless you turn on body logging below), your API key, and your request headers

That metadata powers Logs, Usage, receipts and abuse prevention. Conversations in the web chat are different: they're saved to your chat history so you can come back to them. The full policy is in the Privacy Policy.

Body logging (opt-in)#

To debug prompts, turn on body storage for a project under Developers → API projects. From then on, each call made with that project's keys (and the web chat, for the default project) keeps the JSON you sent and the reply you got, refused and failed calls included.

  • Open a call in Logs to read it as messages or as JSON, copy either side, or replay it as a curl command. Streamed answers are kept as the complete response they add up to, in the format of the API you called.
  • Each side is kept up to 256 KB; longer text (pasted files, base64 images) is shortened and marked as truncated.
  • Bodies are deleted automatically after 30 days, and at once when you close your account.
  • Team members see the bodies of their own keys and of the projects open to them; owners and admins see all of them.
  • Turning it off stops new bodies from being kept; ones already kept expire on their 30-day schedule.

Hosting#

Every model on FullsendAI is hosted in the United States. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and FullsendAI doesn't use your prompts or replies for anything but answering and, when you turn it on, showing them back to you in Logs.

Exporting and deleting#

Download your data under Settings → Account and security gives you your profile, keys (never their secrets), payments, usage, requests and chats as one JSON file. Closing your account deletes stored bodies at once and revokes every key. Questions about data: [email protected].
